Spring makeup picks

Spring Makeup Picks

This is the makeup iv been carrying around in my handbag recently, I love how the makeup fits in the little makeup bag without looking bulky.
-Markus Lupfer makeup bag (Tatler freebie)
-Loreal La Palette Nude eyeshadow palette
-Chanel le volume de chanel mascara
-Givenchy mister light instant light corrective pen
-Maybelline colour tattoo eternal gold
-Mac kinda sexy lipstick
-Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque 'Rosé on the Rocks'
-No7 precision lip pencil 'Nude'

The first swatch on the left is the maybelline color tattoo eternal gold then the rest are the loreal palette without a base underneith, the Eyeshadows would look even better with a base underneith but I wanted to have the swatches without so they would be true swatches.

The Loreal palette looks like the YSL Tuxedo palette but the Loreal one is under a 3rd of the price, I think Loreal bought YSL from the Gucci group in 2008 according to marie claire so that's probably why the eyeshadow palettes looks so similar.

Top 3 brushes for contouring

My top 3 makeup brushes for contouring
I love contouring with bronzer so I thought if share my top 3 brushes, a bit about them and wich is my favourite.

My newest brush is the real techniques bold metals flat contour brush
(Here is a pic of it when it was new in the box)
It was £22 from boots the main attraction was that it's a pretty rose gold colour and that I don't have a brush this shape. The bristles are soft but dense, making it easy to pick up product and I dab it under my cheekbones to make them look more defined. People say it works really well with cream bronzer but I use powder bronzer so I wouldn't know.

-real techniques sculpting brush
I ordered this from very for around £10 but they have it in superdrug but it's in a set with another couple of brushes for around £22 but I just wanted the one brush. This is probably the easiest to use for me because is use it in the same way as the bold metals contour brush but because it has an angle and it's a little less dense I find it a little easier to use but there's not much difference.

-Charlotte Tilbury powder & sculpt brush
I like the rose gold ferrel on this brush and like how the bristles are slightly tapered so it fits well in the hollows of your cheeks this brush was £35 from selfridges. I like to use this after iv used one of the other 2 to define the contour even more with a slightly darker bronzer. These bristles aren't as dense as the other 2 but there not as soft either it feels a little scratchy on the face compared to the other 2 brushes but it doesn't bother me and I still really like this brush and I feel like I would have less chance of messing up my contour with this because it does a smaller area of the face because it's tapered so I have more controll.

I used to use the mac 168 before I had these and that's good too but I'm just preferring these at the moment.
