December birchbox uk 2014

I was a bit disappointed when I recieved it because I noticed after reading the card there was a missing item. I should have recieved a benefit mini christmas cracker with high beam in it so il have to contact them.

English laundry signature for her.
I like this scent and it will be nice to throw into my makeup bag or my pocket in work, I wouldn't buy the full size though at £60 because it's not my favourite scent but it is nice though.
Eyeko fat eye stick (smoke) this is full size and worth £19.50
Electric hair electric hydrate shampoo
Models own nail polish (obsidian) this is full size and worth £5
Elsor firming collagen day cream
Sophia webster purse £25
I'm not very happy with this months birchbox to be honest because I didn't recieve the benefit cracker so that put a downer on it and the only thing I'm looking forward to using is the eslor firming collagen day cream, hopefully it will be amazing and make the box worthwhile. It is easily worth the money because I recieved 2 full size products but I wouldn't have baught the stuff therefore I could have spent the money elsewhere especially wile it's near Christmas.

Simply bright cool silver to help counteract warm brassy hair.

I mentioned in a previous post a wile ago that I became allergic to hair dyes, I used to sometimes get minor reactions like feeling a little itchy and maybe a slight rash like I'm sure a lot of people have had but then they started getting bad like my face swelling up which was a dye id been using for months so I don't know why I became allergic, I'm fine with bleach but I don't want bleach blonde hair because iv had it before and it really damaged my hair.

iv been trying to get my hair back to its natural colour by having it lightened and not touching the roots and although it is close, there is quite a lot of reddish tones in the middle of my hair because I used to dye my hair black then when I had it lightened my hair went a warm light brown-ish colour which I liked but now my roots are growing out and I do have warmth to my hair naturally but not as much as what's been left from lightening the dyed part of my hair, so I was looking for a silver dye to put through the middle to ends of my hair but everywhere I looked I wasn't having much look then I was in poundland and spotted this and it looked like exactly what I was looking for.
I only bought one which I later regretted because even though I'm only doing the middle to ends of my hair my hair is really thick and quite long so I knew it wouldn't be enough, (I'm going to make sure I don't get any on my skin to avoid possibly getting a reaction.)
as you can see from the pic above in the box you get developer, the colour and gloves, the instructions are printed on inside of he box and there is no conditioner but for £1 I'm not complaining.
(above) this is my hair before. as you can see in the middle there are lots of reddish tones left from the bleach, I don't mind it staying warm I just don't want it to look so brassy and want it to blend in more with the rest of my hair.

I mixed the developer and the colour like it says on the box then applied it to the middle to the ends of my hair and as I thought there wasn't enough so when I pulled my hair apart I could see there was a lot that hadn't been covered but that was my fault as I should have got another box, I was going to wait and get another box before I did it but I was inpatient.

On the box it said to leave it on for 45 mins but I left it on around 30 mins because I wanted it to be subtle especially since I knew I hadn't covered all of my hair properly so didn't want it to be patchy.

these 2 pictures are the results I got. as you can see my hair still has warm tones in it but not as much (they're probably the parts that didn't get dye on it because I ran out.) I am happy with the results and if they still have the dye in the shop I'm going to buy 2 boxes and do it again probably Friday. if anyone wants me to do an updated post with how that turns out just leave me a comment letting me know and id be happy to.
