DIY makeup palette

Diy makeup palette

This is my palette I made, i used an old blush palette from eBay took out the blushes and insert (attempted to remove the glue that was holding the insert but as you can see there is still a lot of glue still there making my palette look dirty) I was going to buy some sticky back paper to put under the blushes, Eyeshadows etc so make it look better but I didn't have any at the time so I just stuck them straight to the palette.
I kept most of the blushes from the blush palette and stuck them back in and there was still loads of room for other stuff, I had a nars dark powder 'heat' I used as a bronzer and it the pan was loose in the compact so I took it out and stuck it in this palette.
I depotted a shimmery bronzer highlight trio that was in a cardboard palette so that was easy to take out. I had the urban decay book of shadows and it was really bulky so I depotted them and put 6 of the Eyeshadows in this palette (my niece was making a palette aswel so she had the rest).
I had the MUA heaven and earth eyeshadow palette and the palette was broke so I snapped it in half so depot them but broke a couple in the process. I also depotted a blue eyeshadow from a 120 eyeshadow palette I used to have.
I depotted 2 concealer a from an mua face palette, I also put a powder bronzer and round blush/bronzer duo in this palette but I can't remember where I depotted them from because I made this palette a wile ago. I might do another one soon, if I do I'll do a post :)

Bourjois bronzers

Bourjois bronzers.

Left to right: délice de soleil, maxi delight bronzer, and
Délice de poudre (chocolate bronzer).
- délice de soleil
The bronzing powder enhances all complexions for a naturally sheer result leaving you with a gorgeous sun-kissed glow. It has a deliciously addictive chocolate scent and ultra-fine texture for a soft and smooth feel on your skin.
The bronzing powder comes with a 360° pivoting panoramic mirror and brush specially designed for a streak-free finish and an easy make-up application. And it’s good for my skin:
• Cocoa bean – radiance
• Orange blossom extract – hydration
• SPF 15 – mineral filter (sun protection)
• Non pore blocking
Tested for you !*
The product creates a natural summer tan => 95% agree
Radiant complexion => 90% agree
The texture is soft and comfortable on the skin => 100% agree
*Tested on 21 women over 3 weeks
£8.99 8g.
-maxi delight bronzer
Bourjois’ NEW maxi sized bronzing powder for a beautifully bronzed tan!

Its formula contains tan prolonging agents to keep you looking healthy and tanned for longer! Apply onto the face and decolletage for a naturally bronzed glow.
Its ultra-fine, light texture glides softly on to the skin, providing a smooth and an even result, with no marks! 18g £8.99

This bronzer is my favourite and iv hit pan so I baught a back up because I use it everyday, and I love the way it looks when it's new it has a lovely pattern on it but when you've used it a few times it wears away.

-Délice de poudre bronzing powder
52
Bronzing powder with flecks of gold and a choclately fragrance. The ultra fine and soft texture make the bronzer easy to apply to your face and decolletage. £7.99 16.5g
I love the packaging and it's easy to travel with. If you prefer a lighter bronzer you will probably prefer this bronzer.

the only negatives with délice de poudre and délice de soleil is after a while a layer appears on top that makes the formula really hard but once you rub/scratch it off it is nice again this doesn't seem to happen with the maxi delight bronzer or at least not enough so it's noticeable so I think that is why that's my favourite and because you get 18g of product wich is good because I use it all over my face and down my neck so I use a lot.
I'm using bourjois maxi delight bronzer all over my face in these pictures.

Primark nail polish

P.s. Nail polish from primarkI was in primark and I saw these nail polishes and they are only £1 so I picked up 2 of then to try them out.

I chose a bright orange and a mushroom brown colour, these nail polishes are really pigmented even after only 1 coat.
The nail polishes don't have shade names, I wish they did but that's the only negative thing I can say about these I'm going to pick up more colours next time I'm in primark.

HD Brows Professional Powder Base Palette

HD Brows Professional Powder Base Palette Enhance your clients skin with this professional six-colour palette. This mineral-based foundation conceals and reduces redness by calming the skin after treatment ideal for use as a tester to help find which powder will best suit your clients.

Top row left to right, shade 1, shade 2, shade 3. Bottom row, shade 5, shade 7, shade 9.  I'm guessing they chose there 6 most popular shades since they missed shade 4, 6, & 8
I'm wearing a mix of a few shades of the powders in this palette.
The coverage is good in this powder palette but they're quite powdery when you put your brush in it and I worry that if I apply too much, my face might look a bit powdery. I applied with a brush first then applied with a sponge to see wich worked the best and When I used a sponge it was better coverage.

Directions of use:
-use a sponge or brush to apply and blend the powder base onto the skin.
-use colours to highlight and contour facial features.

I like that you get 6 shades of powder to see wich 1 would suit you but these powders are quite small, each powder is only 4.725g so there not full size powders they're more like blusher in size but you do get 6 powders in 1 palette so it's still good.

My current makeup bag favourites April 2014

My current makeup bag favourites April 2014

I got the makeup bag yesterday from next. I have too many makeup bags but I love the pictures of perfume bottles on it and it's not too big so fits in my bag.
My makeup favourites of this month are:
-Bourjois maxi delight bronzer I use this all over my face with real techniques large powder brush
-Nars casino bronzer I use this to contour
-sleek face form medium I use this to contour it I'm not using nars casino
Nars casino left, sleek face form right 3 shades. Sleek face form has a matte contouring bronzer, champagne coloured highlighter and a shimmery golden bronzer.
-mac studio fix powder my favourite powder at the moment I love it so much it's been a hard choice for a wile because I also love rimmel stay matte and chanel healthy glow powder but I think the mac powder is the best now especially for nights out and for a more airbrushed looking complexion.
-sleek blush by 3 lace
nice trio of peachy blushes, I have a blog post about this already.
http://princesscaela89.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/sleek-blush-by-3-lace.html?m=1
-illamasqua blush allure
Iv loved this blush for ages it's a gorgeous bronzy blush and it's super pigmented looks gorgeous with a tan, if I had to only have 1 blush forever it would probably be this 1.
-Hd brow pro palette
Love this brow palette I have a blog post on it http://princesscaela89.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/hd-brows.html?m=1
-natural eyes palette
Iv been using colours from the 'classic' row, 'silk teddy' & 'push-up'
-lancome hypnose star mascara
This mascara Is amazing I got it at Christmas and it is still going strong usually after about 2 month I need a new 2 but this mascara is lasting me ages :)
-accessorize eyeliner shade 5 petrol blue. Iv mentioned this eyeliner in a blog post http://princesscaela89.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/makeup-under-5.html?m=1
-maybelline lipstick 'pink brown'
Iv been wearing this lipstick every day recently it's a perfect nude colour for me

Iv not mentioned a foundation. I'm still using rimmel wake me up foundation in soft beige, I don't usually carry this with me though unless I'm staying somewhere over night because I don't usually need to touch up my foundation through the day and the mac studio fix powder has some coverage so it's kind of like a foundation and powder in 1.
My makeup brushes don't fit in my makeup bag with all this in it so I either have to take them seperately or try to take something out to fit in a couple of brushes.

Naked palettes

Naked 1, 2 and 3 palettes
My favourite packaging of the 3 palettes is naked 3 I love the rose gold packaging.
Naked 1 at top, 2 in the middle and 3 at the bottom.

Naked 1 palette Without flash.
Naked 1 with flash. shades left to right:
Virgin, sin, naked, sidecar, Buck, Half baked, smog, dark horse, toasted, hustle, creep, gunmetal.
Naked 2 without flash.
Naked 2 with flash:
Foxy, half baked, booth call, chopper, tease, snakebite, suspect, pistol, verve, ydk, busted, blackout.
Naked 3 without flash.
Naked 3 with flash:
Strange, dust, burnout, limit, buzz, trick, nooner, liar, factory, mugshot, darkside, blackheart.

Iv done an eye look with each if the palettes.
Naked 1.

I used 'Half baked' on lid and inner corner, 'smog' in crease and outer corner, 'sin' as a brow highlight.

Naked 2
I used 'Foxy' (matte) in inner corner and as brow highlight and 'tease' (matte) in the crease and outer corner.

Naked 3

I used 'Strange' (most pigmented matte highlight out of all 3 palettes) in the inner corner and brow highlight and 'buzz' in crease and outer corner.

These palettes retail at around £37 each
Naked 1 is bronze neutrals
Naked 2 taupe neutrals
Naked 3 rose neutrals

I think if I had to choose just 1 I'd choose the origional naked palette for the Eyeshadows because I prefer bronzy neutrals but the packaging of that palette is my least favourite and like I said my favourite packaging is naked 3 there are some really nice shades in all 3 pakettes my favourites are:
-From naked 1: sidecar, half baked, smog, toasted buck (I sometimes use for my brows.)
-from naked 2: half baked (again), bootycall, chopper.
-from naked 3: strange, burnout, buzz, trick, liar.
