I went to the selfridges autumn beauty event last night with Rachel (createdwithcosmetics.blogspot.co.uk)
Below is a pic of us before we went to the event
We booked a ticket for £10 each wich meant we got a wrist band and free drinks and chocolates and got the £10 back on a purchase so it was technically free.
We first had a mini bottle of prosecco each.
Then one of the stalls were taking pics for Instagram for selfridges and printing them on Polaroid style pics.
Here is rach getting her Instagram up.
This is the pic we took for raches Instagram cz I don't have it so I jumped in her picThen we were having a look around at the counters.
Look how pretty this perfume bottle is it's a shame it's about £400
Illamasqua counter (love there blushes)
Charlotte tilbury. I wanted to get the lipstick in Hepburn honey and the lip cheat lip liner pillow talk but I didn't end up getting them so I'm slightly regretting it but I will probably buy them next time I go selfridges.
Then we watched a Chanel seminar
Then we got to swatch the Chanel correcteur perfection long-lasting concealer. It is £27 to buy it is really nice but pricey for a concealer.
Then Rach was eyeing up the nars brushes
Then we went to the mac counter.
Rachel for a couple of things she will probably so a blog post so I won't ruin it by writing it on mine, I got a new studio sculpt foundation because I'm running low.
Then clinique have us each an envelope with 'special treats' on it and a kiss on the other side.So we took them to the clinique counter and opened them I won a free makeover for any time (I didn't have it that night) and Rach was lucky and won a special prize a full size product I think they said there were only 5 people who would win them.
Rach holding the redeemable ticket I think she used it in mac to get her £10 back that she paid for her ticket.
I don't have pics of all the counters, aswel as the mac foundation I also bought nars albetross and tom ford bronzer purely for the packaging because I origionnaly thought it was too light because I could barely see it when I swatched it but I tried it out today and it's lovely so I don't regret the hefty £68 price tag because it's a beautiful product.
If you spent over £75 you got to have ago if the pick and mix to get free goodies and everyone who did that got a 'respect your selfie' makeup bag (wich I eyed up on selfridges site a few times and although it's only £5 to buy it's £5 delivery and I never seem to order from there and I haven't seen the makeup bag in store and I thought it was a cool clear makeup bag not that I needed another makeup bag.) so the freebies I got was the makeup bag, charlotte tilbury samples, illamasqua nail polish, ysl nail polish and nars lipstick jungle red.
In the picture (above) the 3 things in front are the items I bought, and the stuff in the makeup bag are the freebies
When a product comes in it's own pouch it always makes it feel a bit more luxurious.
Nars lipstick jungle red, I'm so happy I got this freebie and it's my first nars lipstick, I will probably buy more.
It looks like it was a blast and I loved the products you picked up!
