iv been trying to get my hair back to its natural colour by having it lightened and not touching the roots and although it is close, there is quite a lot of reddish tones in the middle of my hair because I used to dye my hair black then when I had it lightened my hair went a warm light brown-ish colour which I liked but now my roots are growing out and I do have warmth to my hair naturally but not as much as what's been left from lightening the dyed part of my hair, so I was looking for a silver dye to put through the middle to ends of my hair but everywhere I looked I wasn't having much look then I was in poundland and spotted this and it looked like exactly what I was looking for.
I only bought one which I later regretted because even though I'm only doing the middle to ends of my hair my hair is really thick and quite long so I knew it wouldn't be enough, (I'm going to make sure I don't get any on my skin to avoid possibly getting a reaction.)
as you can see from the pic above in the box you get developer, the colour and gloves, the instructions are printed on inside of he box and there is no conditioner but for £1 I'm not complaining.
(above) this is my hair before. as you can see in the middle there are lots of reddish tones left from the bleach, I don't mind it staying warm I just don't want it to look so brassy and want it to blend in more with the rest of my hair.
I mixed the developer and the colour like it says on the box then applied it to the middle to the ends of my hair and as I thought there wasn't enough so when I pulled my hair apart I could see there was a lot that hadn't been covered but that was my fault as I should have got another box, I was going to wait and get another box before I did it but I was inpatient.
On the box it said to leave it on for 45 mins but I left it on around 30 mins because I wanted it to be subtle especially since I knew I hadn't covered all of my hair properly so didn't want it to be patchy.
these 2 pictures are the results I got. as you can see my hair still has warm tones in it but not as much (they're probably the parts that didn't get dye on it because I ran out.) I am happy with the results and if they still have the dye in the shop I'm going to buy 2 boxes and do it again probably Friday. if anyone wants me to do an updated post with how that turns out just leave me a comment letting me know and id be happy to.
