Mermaid/festival glitter summer makeup

I saw the glittery/festival makeup in primark and they inspired me to do this look. I wanted pink eyeshadow though because I wear pink eyeshadow a lot so I already know it kind of suits me so I picked up 2 pink eyeshadows from kiko, they did have an eyeshadow palette on primark with pink in it that looked nice and was only about £2.50 but I didn't see the point in buying a palette just for 1 shade. I was planning on going all out and using the face jewels aswel but I got a bit bored after I got this far since I wasn't actually going anywhere and thought it looked OK as it was.

The mini lipstick set from primark is pretty cool I wore the silver (2nd to last swatch) over my bright pink Mac candy yum yum lipstick to make it ombre and I like the way it turned out, however I don't think I'd wear these on there own.

I used both kiko pink smart color eyeshadows 15 and 16, primark liquid liner a bit of gold eyeshadow in the inner corners (kiko 17 highpigment eyeshadow.

Primark foundation stick in tan (first time using it) and a bit of Ivory down the centre (I already had Ivory).

I used the primark blue glitter put out of the glitter pot set with the face glue to put below the inner corners of my eyes to look like mermaid tears. And I thought it looked good next to the pink eyeshadow.

I put some of the primark glitter palette, a silver glittery shade on my cheek bones to look like glitter highlight you can kind of see it in the pic above in the right side (I put it on both sides but it isn't showing up much in the pic)

I used some cheap false lashes. I was gonna put jewels above my eyebrows or on my cheat bones or under outer corners of my eyes but I gave up at this point, although I'd probably do that if I was going out to a festival or fancy dress.

I got this elemis makeup bag a wile ago, it was a summer festival skincare kit so it came with mini skincare tubes and samples in there, but when I saw the bag reminded me of the Anya hindmarch clear makeup bag and I'd been really wanting that so thought its a cheaper alternative.

It has 2 compartments like the Anya hindmarch one.

The kiss an makeup bag was from TKMax and thought it was perfect to put my brushes and beauty blender in and there is room for more makeup if needed.

What's in my makeup bag:

-freedom pro palette (in into have a few freedom pans and the balm Bahama mama for contour and a 17 shimmer brick for if I want a bronzey glow.)

I sorted and reorganised my makeup so I took pictures, mainly so I can remember how it is now so I can look back if I change anything and also for if anyone wants to see.

My dressing table

my dressing table is the Malm dressing table from Ikea.

 

This acrylic organiser was really cheap it was only £5 from home bargains, its such a good price because it looks much more expensive and iv seen similar ones in TK Maxx for around £20.

I got the ides from one of my friends to put perfume in the organiser aswel to make it look prettier.
(p.s. if you're reading this Libby you should start a blog and do a makeup collection or room tour.)

This acrylic lipstick holder was from ebay I think, iv had it for years but it really was cheap.


Now were into the draw of my dressing table, I have old beauty boxes that devide each section, this section is Base; primer, concelers, foundations.

This section is face powders and highlights.

This section is bronzers.

This section is blushers and there are some of the urban decay naked flushed palettes in here aswel.

This section is eyes; eyeshadows, mascara, eyeliners, eyelash glue.

This is a draw from my alex draws also from ikea its only the 5 draw one, i was going to get the 9 draw but I decided to get this smaller one and I may get another one in the future.

In this draw I just have my palettes (a few of my palettes are in the acrylic organiser on my dressing table)

  

This draw just holds my makeup bags.

I also have others draws for skincare, fake tan etc, if you want me to do a blog post on these or anything in this post in more detail in this post just leave a comment.

I got this makeup bag a few days ago from Michael kors, I chose this one because it matches my bag and it's a good size.

Below is a picture of my bag.

Before I got this makeup bag I was using a lulu Guinness one and I love that one too but it was just a bit too small so I couldn't fit a foundation in there (I don't always need a foundation with me but it's nice to be able to fit it if I need it)

I cancelled my birchbox subscription at the end of last year because it was always a faf getting my package since it's delivered by yodel so I can't go and pick it up like with Royal Mail or if I'm not in. I decided to re-subscribe this month because I started to miss it and I got the box half price because it's there birthday month, I'm happy with the box this month but the delivery was annoying again. I really wish birchbox would do collect + or use Royal Mail for their boxes it would be a lot easier because not knowin if my box will to turn up ruins my experience wich is why I have cancelled again, however I did enjoy the box itself.

We've been going a pub quiz night every week lately, we do really poorly but it's just fun anyway and gives is a reason to go out.

This is the makeup I wore.

Rach gave me the sienna x fake tan and I wanted to try it so I decided to try it before I went out but didn't have time to let it develop and was the colour guard off but it looked nice as soon as I applied it as have me a nice olive tan so I decided to wear a dress, I put the tan on my face too then applied my makeup straight over it.

The makeup:

Loreal lumi magique foundation (I blended it in with the beauty blender)

Maybelline fit me concealer (also blended with beauty blender)

Hourglass diffused light powder (with real techniques blush brush)

Mac 'nylon' in the inner corners of my eyes and brow bone and a little bit of mac  'woodwinked' patted on the lids

Urban decay naked 3 palette 'nooner' and 'liar' mixed together on outer corners and the crease and bottom lash line and a little bit of 'factory' to darken it up

Small beauty haul plus my new bag

The reason for this purchase is because annoyingly I dropped my favourite 'makeup bag palette' (the urban decay naked flushed palette in strip) and the bronzer smashed everywhere and I was so p****d off because I love having it in my makeup bag because it's the perfect size and I use it every day soni had to buy a new one straight away.

Debenhams was having a promotion where if you spend £40 you get a free mystery gift and since I was running out of my favourite foundation mac fave and body I bought that aswel but had to get the smaller 50ml version because they didn't have the 120ml in my shade.

Michael kors hamilton east/west satchel.

I decided to buy this bag because I usually only buy big bags but I wanted a smaller one for if I go out or to use as an every day bag if I don't wanna carry everything with me and it still fits the essentials in it so I love it.
